Surf Air Mobility (NYSE: SRFM), the air mobility platform transforming regional flying through electrification, and Z.Boskovic Air Charters, the largest airline charter in Kenya, have teamed up to electrify its Cessna caravan fleet.

As a top regional private charter operator, Z.Boskovic is committed to environmental protection and reducing its emissions footprint. The new agreement will enable Surf Air to electrify Z.Boskovic’s existing Cessna fleet with hybrid electric powertrains in an effort to reduce flight emissions by as much as 50%.

Surf Air plans to lay the path to electrified aircraft adoption by providing a simple process for fleet operators to upgrade to electric powertrains at competitive costs.

Stan Little, CEO of Surf Air Mobility stated: “We believe upgrading existing fleets of Cessna Caravans, rather than creating brand new aircraft from scratch, makes our technology easier for operators to adopt, accelerates their ability to cut aviation emissions sooner, and aligns our companies’ visions of making the largest impact as quickly as possible.”
