Energy Vault (NYSE: NRGV) has begun construction on a 200 MW/2-hour battery energy storage system at ACEN Australia’s New England Solar project, marking the first large-scale BESS in New South Wales' New England Region. The project aims to store and dispatch renewable energy during peak hours, reducing reliance on coal-fired power.
